A total of 164 Bloomsburg University student-athletes have been recognized as Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Scholar-Athletes for the 2018-19 academic year the league announced on Tuesday afternoon. The 164 Huskies join a PSAC-record 3,117 student-athletes from the league's 17 institutions being named to the list. In order to earn PSAC Scholar-Athlete recognition, each student-athlete must have maintained a minimum GPA of 3.25 throughout the year. The field hockey team led all of Bloomsburg's squads with 20 selections. Women's soccer added 19 with women's lacrosse following right behind with 17. Women's cross country and track & field (15), softball (10), and women's volleyball (10) also finished in double figures among female sports. On the men's side, football led the way with 13 scholar-athletes while cross country / track & field and men's soccer added nine apiece. During summer 2019, undergraduate students at Wilkes University engaged in research. Working with faculty on meaningful research is one of the hallmarks of a Wilkes education. Kutztown University has conferred degrees for nearly 1,300 students for the Spring 2019 semester. Kutztown University announces degree conferment twice a year, once in the winter and once in the summer. Commencement exercises are held in May and December; however, students finish the requirements for graduation throughout the entire year. The following students have been awarded degrees following the spring 2019 semester. The cumulative grade point average necessary for honors distinction is: with honor (cum laude) 3.40; with high honor (magna cum laude) 3.60 and with highest honor (summa cum laude) 3.80. Students listed multiple times have been awarded more than one degree.

The University of Scranton announced more than 1,650 students were named to The University of Scranton's Dean's List for the 2019 spring semester.

Wilkes University Senior Vice President and Provost Anne Skleder announced the Dean's List for the spring 2019 semester. To be named to the Dean's List, students must obtain a minimum 3.5 grade point average and carry at least 12 credits.

A total of 1,520 students have been named to the Dean's List at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania (ESU) for the Spring 2019 semester of the 2018-2019 academic year, according to Joanne Bruno, J.D., provost and vice president for academic affairs. Students eligible for the Dean's List are those who have attained a 3.50 quality point average or better and are enrolled full-time. The letter grade "B" earns 3 quality points per credit, and the grade "A" earns 4 quality points per credit.

Nealry1,950 high-achieving students have been named to the Dean's List for the spring semester at Northampton Community College. The honor is reserved for students who have completed a minimum of 6 credits and achieved at least a 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale in the Spring 2019 semester.

Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania congratulates the nearly 1,900 students who were named to the Spring 2019 Dean's List. A full-time student whose semester GPA is 3.5 or higher in 12 or more semester hours of course work for which a grade or grades are received will be named to the deans' list.

A total of 269 Mansfield University students have been named to the Dean's List for the Spring semester. To be named to the Dean's list, a student must attend the university full-time and earn at least a 3.5 GPA.

A total of 1,553 SUNY Oneonta students earned Dean's List honors for the spring 2019 semester. To qualify for the Dean's List, a student must earn a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher while carrying a course load of 12 hours or more.

Slippery Rock University has announced its dean's list for the spring 2019 semester. The dean's list consists of SRU undergraduate students who earned an adjusted semester grade-point average of 3.5 or higher, based on a schedule of at least 12 newly attempted and earned credits.

The University of Scranton conferred more than 625 master's and doctoral degrees at its graduate commencement ceremony on May 25 in the Byron Recreation Complex. Graduates recognized at the ceremony include those who completed their degree requirements in August and December of 2018, as well as January and May of 2019.

More than 60 Wilkes University students were recognized for their achievements during the 2019 Academic Awards Ceremony. The event was held on May 17, the evening before spring commencement.

Wilkes University awarded 797 bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees at its 72nd spring commencement ceremonies on May 18.

University of Scranton students were inducted into Upsilon Pi Epsilon, the only existing international honor society in the computing and information disciplines.

The following students have been named to Emerson College's Dean's List for the Spring 2019 semester. The requirement to make the Dean's List is a grade point average of 3.7 or higher that semester.

A total of 1,187 students will receive degrees from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania at separate commencement exercises for undergraduate and graduate students on May 10 and May 11. ESU will hold three graduation ceremonies: one for graduate students on Friday, May 10 at 6:45 p.m. and two ceremonies for undergraduate students on Saturday, May 11. The undergraduate ceremonies will take place at 8:45 a.m. (College of Arts and Sciences and College of Education) and at 1:15 p.m. (College of Business and Management and College of Health Sciences). All three ceremonies will be held in Koehler Fieldhouse. A total of 995 bachelor's degrees, 188 master's degrees and four doctoral degrees will be awarded.

More than 200 Wilkes University students who received scholarships, along with the donors whose gifts made the scholarships possible, were recognized at the annual Scholarship Luncheon on April 4.

Sixty-five Wilkes University students were inducted into the Passan School of Nursing during a ceremony on April 7. At the event, students received their lab coats and signed the nursing pledge.

Lebanon Valley College recognized more than 199 student-athletes who competed for the Flying Dutchmen athletic teams during the winter season.

Nine Northampton Community College (NCC) students gave it their all as they pitched their business ideas to a panel of judges at the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) in the Fowler Family Southside Center on April 3, 2019. The winner will represent NCC at a valley-wide collegiate business pitch competition on April 25 at Ben Franklin Tech Ventures in Bethlehem.

University of Scranton students inducted into Beta Beta Beta, the national honor society for biology. For induction into the honor society, students must have completed at least three biology courses, maintained at least a 3.0 grade point average in biology, and be in good academic standing at the University.

Wilkes University students Matthew Finnegan and Joshua Bradley presented research papers during the Pi Sigma Alpha National Student Research Conference. The event took place Feb. 15-17 at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. Pi Sigma Alpha is the national political science honor society. Finnegan is a junior political science and international studies major. His paper was entitled "Wind Turbine Construction Projects and Their Effects on Tourism." Bradley is a junior political science and international studies major. His paper was entitled "The Effect of Energy Trade Dependency on Foreign Policy." The conference provides a platform for Pi Sigma Alpha members to present their research findings in a professional setting with opportunity for engagement with peers. Finnegan and Bradley are research assistants with assistant professor of political science Andreea Maierean.

Voice students represented Mary Baldwin University at the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) State Auditions in Winchester, Virginia, on Mar. 1 and 2, competing with student singers from colleges and universities across Virginia.

The BU Players of Bloomsburg University will be performing "Good Kids" from Feb.27 through March 3 at the Alvina Krause Theatre in Bloomsburg. The production will be directed by Dr. Carrie Winship. Performances are Wednesday through Saturday at 7:30pm, Sunday at 3:00pm. All performances at the Alvina Krause Theatre, 226 Center St, in Downtown Bloomsburg.
