A total of 1,513 SUNY Oneonta students earned Dean's List honors for the fall 2015 semester. To qualify for the Dean's List, a student must earn a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher while carrying a course load of 12 hours or more.

Wilkes University welcomes over 600 students into the class of 2019.

This fall, SUNY Oneonta will welcome approximately 1,100 freshmen and 600 new transfer students hailing from across New York, as well as from 16 states and countries.Our newest Red Dragons will officially join the Oneonta family when they walk through the historic pillars of Old Main during the traditional Pass through the Pillars ceremony on Aug. 30, the night before classes begin.

Emergent Scholars at Elizabethtown College have attained at least a 3.75 cumulative grade point average at the end of their first three semesters. Qualified for the honor are full-time students who have not previously attended another college or university for full-time study and have earned at least 42 credits in the three consecutive semesters as a student at Elizabethtown College or one of its affiliated programs. Students on the dean's list are full-time undergraduate students who earn a semester grade point average of 3.60 or better in 14 or more credit hours, of which at least 12 credits are letter-graded course work.

Approximately 1,800 students have made the Spring Semester 2015 Dean's List for academic achievement at Coastal Carolina University.

Over 400 students were named to Fort Lewis College's Dean's List for the Spring 2015 semester. These students took at least 15 credits of gradable hours and achieved a 3.60 or higher grade point average.

Students among The University of Scranton students inducted into Phi Alpha Theta, the international honor society in history.

Kutztown University inducted 15 into the Alpha Epsilon chapter of Alpha Kappa Delta, the International Sociology Honor Society. Alpha Kappa Delta is a non-secret, democratic, international society of scholars dedicated to the ideal of Athropon Katamannthanein Diakonesin or "to investigate humanity for the purpose of service." Membership is open to undergraduate students, graduate students, and faculty members from active chapters who meet our minimum standards. Currently, there are more than 115,000 members in Alpha Kappa Delta and over 650 chapters.

Some 147 Coastal Carolina University students were inducted into the campus chapter of Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society. The annual induction was held April 16, with Juliana Harding, assistant professor of marine science, delivering the keynote address.

Hard work in high school has paid off for college-bound seniors. The following students have earned merit scholarships to attend Alvernia University this fall.

Avalanche, Kutztown University's golden bear mascot, earned the title of Mascot Madness Champion April 6 with a 15-vote victory over Rocky of Slippery Rock University. More than 12,000 votes were cast in the one-day championship round. The Kutztown University mascot program is run by twenty student performers and handlers.
